Maria Carfagna – Italy

Minister for the South and Territorial Cohesion Maria Carfagna has been making waves in 2022 for lobbying for a reduction in gas bills and an offer to give energy packages to businesses amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At first glance, some people may not realize that this gorgeous woman is a politician.

The Italian stunner has a colorful past that some critics may use against her, but she is dedicated to using this to her advantage to promote the causes she believes in. Carfagna had worked for TV but remained a famous personality in her home country to this day as a model.

Nicole Minetti – Italy

Another politician who can turn heads anytime is Nicole Minetti, a dental hygienist who was at the center of controversy when she was tied to Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. Specifically, she reportedly found women who attended parties thrown by the latter.

After this issue, Minetti hardly spoke about this matter again, sometimes dodging interviews about it, too. Nonetheless, she has made quite a career becoming a social media superstar, boasting over 43K followers on Instagram despite setting her account private. Over on Twitter, she has around 18K followers waiting for her racy snaps and quirky updates.

Alejandra Campoverdi - The United States of America

Beauty with brains is probably the best description of Alejandra Campoverdi. She served as the first White House Deputy Director of Hispanic Media during the presidential term of President Barack Obama. She also has a good heart because she advocates for women's health and empowerment.

While her time as a politician may have been done, this doesn't stop her from spreading awareness on pressing issues. Campoverdi has over 10K followers on Instagram and often shares her stories with them. According to her bio, she is kept busy writing her memoir, "The First & Onlys."

Carla Bruni – Italy

Another more recognizable face on this list is Carla Bruni, an Italian-French singer and former model. Prior to dipping her toes into music, she was first a regular name in the fashion world. She tied the knot with President Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008 and became an even more influential woman.

Since then, Bruni and Sarkozy have put on a united front and have often gushed over each other during interviews. In a February 2022 The Times interview, the stunning celebrity described her husband as "the gentlest and kindest" man she has ever met in the world.

Eva Kaili – Greece

In January 2022, Eva Kaili was voted European Parliament's vice president. She has had an impressive track record since her younger days, having been the youngest member of the Thessaloniki City Council in 2002. This stunner who was previously a TV host is also best known for founding the Melon Tech Forum and heading the Future of Science and Technology Panel of the European Parliament.

There's not a doubt that she could return to the entertainment industry if things don't pan out the way she planned them to be. Prior to her political run, Kaili was seen on Mega Channel.

Alina Kabaeva – Russia

Alina Kabaeva, former Russia's State Duma deputy speaker, may have tried her luck in politics but she is most notable for her gymnastics career. Under her belt are two Olympic, numerous World Championship, and European Championship medals but her sports portfolio was marred when she was disqualified from competing due to using an illegal substance.

These days, Kabaeva's name has surfaced primarily because of her alleged relationship with Russia's president, Vladimir Putin. There were even rumors that she and her kids are staying at a luxurious Swiss chalet, prompting citizens to petition them to be removed from the country.

Ruby Dhalla – Canada

When we're talking about female politicians making a real change in the world, Canadian stateswoman Ruby Dhalla should always be included. She has long been eyeing making an impact on this world because as early as 10, she already sent a letter to Indira Gandhi, requesting social change and peace.

Dhalla did fulfill this promise on her own when she became the first Indian member of the Parliament in 2004. On top of being a politician, the stunning personality is also a doctor, activist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She also participates in speaking engagements just like the December 2021 National Commission for Women.

Anna-Maria Galojan – Estonia

This stunning former politician named Anna-Maria Galojan has become infamous in her home country of Estonia for a lot of things. In 2007, she ran the Reform Party in the Parliamentary elections but failed to secure a seat. Her self-funded campaign included TV ads that turned her into a viral meme.

This did launch Galojan's star status, becoming a covergirl for Playboy and modeling for the chocolate brand Xocai. By 2011, this beaut was convicted of embezzlement from the non-profit group European Movement Estonia. Today, the stunning celeb has been enjoying sharing her glamorous looks on Instagram.

Vanja Hadzovic – Serbia

Another politician who can easily attract a crowd is Vanja Hadzovic, the former adviser to Serbia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs. While she had already established a reputable career, her world came crumbling down when racy photos of her in intimate apparel hit a daily paper.

Hadzovic, who has a degree in media management, was said to have been investigated for this instance, with some politicians expressing concern over her behavior. It is worth noting that she was previously a model who posed for different outlets. These days, we don't know what she has been up to after the scandal.

Pamela Jo Bondi - The United States of America

Former Florida Attorney General Pamela Jo Bondi became the first woman to have held the position. While she was already a remarkable personality in politics, she gained waves in 2020 for being one of the defense lawyers for former President Donald Trump during an impeachment trial.

After Trump's term, the lobbyist has remained largely inactive on Instagram, where she has over 20K followers. She has maintained an active profile on Twitter, though, oftentimes sharing updates about her daily musings as well as her eyebrow-raising political beliefs with her over 93K followers on the micro-blogging platform.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez - The United States of America

Although she has a lot of detractors, New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has earned quite a following after winning the elections. Now more known as AOC, the tough-talking politician has never been shy about her roots and her meteoric rise to stardom.

Following her graduation and her father's death, AOC worked in restaurants to make ends meet. While she was previously targeted for this, the politician continues to prove his detractors wrong. She, Michigan's Rashida Tlaib, Massachusetts' Ayanna Presley, and Minnesota Ilhan Omar make up what people now call "The Squad."

Julia Bonk – Germany

At 18, most of us are still confused about what to do with our lives -- but that wasn't the case for Julia Bonk, who, after graduating, became the youngest member of a German Parliament. In 2004, she became a member of the Landtag of Saxony and ended this after a decade.

Not much is known about her these days, but it was said that she used to be a Dresden City Student Council when she was 14. Bonk was also tapped to be the Students' Council for the State of Saxony's vice speaker.

Elizabeth Halseth - The United States of America

As the youngest woman to have been elected to the Nevada legislature, Elizabeth Halseth became nothing short of a famous politician. It was a surprising win against the then 27-year-old, who, unfortunately, quit only a year into the job. She found it hard to balance motherhood, another job, and serving her constituents.

While this was in the past, she didn't escape controversies because, in 2021, her daughter Sierra Halseth killed her father and the politician's ex. Sierra sought the help of her boyfriend, Aaron Guerrero, to stab and burn Daniel Halseth mercilessly.

Sabine Uitslag – Netherlands

These days, it has become easy to recognize Sabine Uitslagof the Christen Democratisch Appèl because of her work on TV. In 2021, she was spotted in "Eva Jinek op Zondag" and had appeared in shows like "Dancing on Ice (Netherlands)," "Knevel & van den Brink," and "Strictly Come Dancing," and "Pownews."

Today, many fans also adore her social media page, especially since she loves updating her fans with cute snaps. Uitslag, who studied at the Maastricht University,  now advocates for healthcare. Time and again, she would say how proud she was that she was working with the people in this industry.

Huma Mahmood Abedin - The United States of America

For the in-the-know, Huma Mahmood Abedin may be best known as former presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton's most trusted personal aide. The duo has been working for quite some time because the political adviser has been working for the former First Lady since she was an intern at George Washington University.

In the beginning, Abedin became a backup for Clinton's personal aide, but soon after, she became the official political advisor. She has worked with many other politicians, too, and unfortunately, she did suffer abuse at one point, which she revealed in her 2021 memoir.

Queen Rania – Kuwait

As one of the most recognizable women globally, Rania Al Abdullah, the wife of King Abdullah II, is also easily one of the most fashionable. For International Women's Day in 2022, she stunned in an elegant white dress as she hosted a party in celebration of the event.

Rania isn't just pleasing to the eyes but also has an equally good soul. She has also been working with Unicef for a long time, being appointed the first Eminent Advocate for Children in 2007. Before becoming a queen, the Kuwait-born celebrity used to work in the information technology industry.

Kristi Lynn Noem - The United States of America

There are many issues thrown at Kristi Lynn Noem, the 33rd governor of South Dakota,  but she remains unfazed. For instance, in 2021, she was rumored to have an affair with a former presidential aide, Corey Lewandowski, but she denied the hearsay and noted how malicious minds target female politicians.

Well, it is safe to say that Noem is used to receiving harsh comments, including in 2022 when she signed Senate Bill 46. This would prevent transwomen from participating in men's or women's sports, prompting the community to criticize the republican politician.

Tulsi Gabbard - American Samoa

Tulsi Gabbard serves as a Hawaii Representative until 2021 but didn't seek reelection a year prior. Despite this, she continues to be outspoken, even if this means she gets heat for her sentiments. This was exactly what happened when she spoke against the United States sending aid to Ukraine in the midst of the Russian invasion.

Gabbard, who ran for president in 2020, is also not one to back down from debates and interviews, even if it means going head to head with other people. In fact, the politician got into a heated exchange with Sean Hannity on his namesake show in March 2022.

Michela Vittoria-Brambilla – Italy

Former Italy's Minister of Culture and Tourism Michela Vittoria-Brambilla has long been hailed for her heart for the animals. Also a businesswoman, the politician now dedicates her time promoting animal welfare, and has even been hands-on with the rescue of the affected furry friends in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Vittoria-Brambilla has been tirelessly working with Lega Italiana Difesa Animali E Ambiente to save creatures. Her fans usually get updates from her rescues as well as her daily life from her social media accounts because she loves sharing snaps.

Carey Torrice - The United States of America

Considered one of the most beautiful politicians in the United States, Carey Torrice served as a commissioner in Macomb County, Michigan. While there are many TV and movie stars who became politicians, it was the other way around for this blonde personality.

When she lost to reelection in 2010, Torrice graced numerous shows and even landed on the front page of local tabloids. Unfortunately, her term was marred with issues, with one alleging that she and her husband committed insurance fraud when their family home burned down. Today, she enjoys working with animal shelters and often shares memes on her page.

Michelle Obama - The United States of America

Michelle Obama, the wife of former President Barack Obama, may be well-known for being the first African-American to have become the First Lady. However, she is also a woman of her own who shines as a health and fitness advocate. Even though her husband's term is done, she continues to make a difference in people's lives.

Specifically, Michelle launched "Let's Do It!," a campaign aimed to address child obesity and the "Reach Higher" initiative to help kids understand opportunities. Today, she and her brother have used their power to launch the Little Craig Series with Vooks.

Sethrida Geagea – Ghana

Although born in Ghana to a prominent family, Sethrida Geagea has created quite a strong political reputation in Lebanon, best known for her stern stance against Syrian domination. She and her husband Samir Geagea have become one of the most famous duos in their home country.

From Sethrida's social media posts, we can tell how busy she is with her left and right public engagements. Still, she never fails to look her best on every occasion, often dressing to the nines and becoming a style icon. The politician also loves uploading selfies of her and Samir.

Vera Lischka – Austria

This list of beautiful politicians wouldn't be complete without Vera Lischka, a former Austrian breaststroke swimmer who represented her country in the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. In the same year, she also won the 50m Breaststroke competition during the European SC Championships.

In 2009, Lischka was voted one of the most gorgeous stateswomen in the world. However, it has become hard to track her these days, perhaps she is busy with her personal life after her time with the sport. The last we heard was that she was in Obeosterreich's Landtag.

Kyrsten Lea Sinema - The United States of America

Senior Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema has always been a progressive ally of the LGBTQ community, who is frequently open about her support for their fight for their rights. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, even if it meant receiving eyebrow raises from fellow politicians and her fans.

Case in point: Sinema was one of the few who opposed U.S. President Joe Biden's Build Back Better legislation, estimated to be worth $1.5 trillion, in 2021. This baffled some of her ardent supporters since the move opposes her previous impressive environmental works.

Yulia Tymoshenko – Ukraine

Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko earned the moniker "gas princess" while she was working as United Energy Systems of Ukraine's president, importing gas from Russia. She smoothly transitioned to become a politician, thanks to her wide network.

Tymoshenko adopted the classic braided hairstyle and has almost always been seen with this 'do. Her political career wasn't smooth-sailing though because she faced corruption charges. Meanwhile, on Russia's invasion of her home country, the stateswoman noted in March 2022 that Vladimir Putin's moves could practically affect the entire Europe because the man is "ready for anything."

Orly Levy – Israel

One look at this photo and it might be hard to believe that she is a politician. Well, prior to dipping her toes into this field, Orly Levy was first a model. Her resume is also adorned with impressive accomplishments like a PhD in Sociology that she earned from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Under her belt are the Managerial and Organizational Cognition Division Best Dissertation Award and Emerald Award for Excellence among many others. These days, Levy spends her time speaking about pressing issues on Twitter, including the 2022 incident of a therapist leaving a patient outside a facility as a punishment.

Gretchen Whitmer - The United States of America

Lawyer and educator Gretchen Esther Whitmer, who is serving as Michigan's governor, knows how hard it is to be a stateswoman in the current political climate. In fact, she has experienced a lot of scary ordeals that almost cost her her life. There was a plot to kidnap her and it was revealed in 2021 that the suspects were prepared to use grenades to get past her security personnel.

The plotters admitted in March 2022 that they planned to abduct her from her Michigan vacation home because they felt that her restrictions were "tyrannical." They also believed that the Constitution allowed them to do this to Whitmer.

Ayanna Soyini Pressley - The United States of America

Massachusetts Representative Ayanna Soyini Pressley endured a difficult childhood that inspired her to pursue public office. However, thanks to her mom who instilled the importance of civic engagements, she grew up to be a person who has always deemed demonstrations important.

These days, Pressley has become an advocate for people suffering from alopecia, after experiencing the condition that made her shave her head. She is also a hip politician who often takes it to Instagram to share her daily activities, just like when she cheered on the Celtics in March 2022.

Luciana Leуn – Peru

As the daughter of politician Romulo Leon Alegria, it wasn't shocking that Luciana Leyn followed in his footsteps. At 14, she already showed interest in the field by becoming Aprista Party youth wing's general secretary. Many years later, she became an advisor for the Women's commission and Ministry of Transportation and Communications.

By 2006, Leyn was already elected as a representative of Lima, becoming the youngest from that point until 2011. However, she is no stranger to controversies because apart from being dragged in the 2008 oil scandal in Peru, her name popped up in March 2022 for an embezzlement case.

Joni Ernst - The United States of America

Another woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind when needed is Joni Ernst, who has been serving as an Iowa senator for quite a long time. In March 2022, she called out Russian President Vladimir Putin, calling him a "weak man" for what he was doing to Ukraine.

Ernst knows a thing or two about serving; after all, she was in the military for over two decades before dipping her toes into the messy world of politics. This woman is the first lady combat veteran to serve in the senate.

Patricia Nell Scott Schroeder - The United States of America

As the first female Colorado representative, Patricia Nell Scott Schroeder had a lot of accomplishments during her tenure from 1973 to 1997. She is best known for her outspoken nature specifically on the topics of social welfare and military spending. More prominently, she lobbied for women's rights in the military.

As a wordsmith, Schroeder famously called former President Ronald Reagan the "Teflon" Chief Executive because of his seeming inability to be affected by his criticisms. Today, she isn't much active probably because of her age but nobody can forget the contributions she has made during her time in the limelight.

Joanna Mucha – Poland

Poland's former minister of Sport and Tourism Joanna Mucha has been busy since 2022 arrived. She became hands-on in welcoming refugees from Ukraine who fled to her home country as Russia tried to invade its neighboring nation. She even met US Ambassador to Poland, Mark Brzeziński, to talk about the hostility happening.

In fact, Mucha has been vocal about stopping Russia from passing through Poland, especially when transporting machinery used for war. Nonetheless, she has been stern in slamming the Vladimir Putin-led country on her Instagram as well, even sharing the flag of Ukraine with her over 8K followers.

Mary Bono Mack - The United States of America

If the family name of Mary Bono, former Representative from 1998 to 2013, rings a bell, well, you're probably thinking of musician Sonny Bono. That's because she is the widow of the U2 vocalist who announced her decision to run for office after his death from a skiing accident.

At the time, Mary admitted she wanted to continue what Bono, then a congressman, had started, adding she aimed to turn the grief into action. Of late, she became the talk of the town after Cher sued her for $1 million for reportedly trying to withhold royalty payments.

Maria Ellen Cantwell - The United States of America

Washington Senator Maria Ellen Cantwell promised she would leave politics in the '90s after her defeat but she recanted this when she ran in 2000. According to her website, she was the first in her family to graduate college and became a successful businesswoman, which had helped her in her quest for better and higher-paying job opportunities.

In fact, Cantwell was one of the Democrats who voted for the $15 hourly wage as part of the American Rescue Plan in 2021. In 2022, she also underlined the importance of the Ocean Shipping Reform legislation, explaining that the farmers shouldn't be exploited.

Judy Chu - The United States of America

Judy Chu has been representing the 27th congressional district of California since 2013. More than this, she has been outspoken about her pride in her roots, so it wasn't surprising when she joined Nancy Pelosi and other politicians in March 2022 in commemorating the deaths from the spa shootings the year prior.

Chu, who became the first Chinese-American to have gotten a seat in Congress, has also been using her voice on social media to spread awareness on different issues, including about the Ukraine crisis, environmental transportation, and public healthcare opportunities.

Hina Rabbani Khar – Pakistan

At 33, Hina Rabbani Khar already made waves for being the first woman and youngest person to have become the Foreign Minister of Pakistan from 2011 to 2013. This angel-looking stateswoman is quite famous in her home country because she came from the very influential and powerful family of Muzaffargarh.

Don't let her captivating eyes deceive you because she becomes stern when discussing world politics. She actively uses Twitter to share her sentiments on several matters, including slamming the decision to stop education for women in Afghanistan in March 2022.

Sarah Palin – The United States of America

Many people know Sarah Palin not only as a politician but also as a reality TV star who appeared in "The Masked Singer" and "Alaska." As a stateswoman, she became infamous for leaving her post in 2009, citing the costly battle she faced when she was slapped with ethics investigations.

Fast forward to 2022, and it would seem that Palin hasn't stopped courting controversies. This is because she sued The New York Times for defamation stemming from a 2017 editorial that erroneously linked her rhetoric to a mass shooting. The outlet corrected its mistake the following morning.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner – Argentina

Cristina Elisabet Fernández de Kirchner, simply known by her initials CFK, is one of the most notable female politicians in the history of Argentina. She is the second woman to become the president of the South American nation and was the first to be elected for the post.

Since 2019, CFK has been serving as the country's vice president. Despite having an impressive resume, her career hasn't been without controversy. In 2022, she was the center of a graft case, accusing this stateswoman of corruption during her term as president but thankfully, the incumbent Chief Executive came to her defense.

Sandra Kay Fluke - The United States of America

In 2012, this lady named Sandra Fluke became nothing short of a sensation when she tried to speak about the importance of insurance plans to include birth control coverage. Instead of being hailed as a present-day hero, radio host Rush Limbaugh, known for his controversial choice of words, launched a tirade against her.

Soon, many politicians, including Barack Obama, expressed support for Fluke, who went on to become a women's rights advocate. She received harsh words from Limbaugh but it did catapult her to greater heights, which she uses to spread awareness about reproductive health.
