A True Patriot
The American flag is more than its colors—blue, red, and white. It is a symbol of peace, harmony, valor, justice, vigilance, perseverance, and hardiness. It speaks about different things to different people. But ultimately, it indicates the sacrifices of the 13 colonies and symbolizes the continuous sacrifices of heroes who are doing everything within their power for an undivided country.
In celebration of America's independence, this patriot decided to have the United States flag painted on her body, making a bold statement of her own. It's her way of celebration while many people organize reunions, start fireworks, and host carnivals. Such a brave option!
Part of the Scenery
Though body painting is temporary, unlike most forms of art, it's one of the most beautiful to behold. It also expresses a kind of need, which is what this particular masterpiece is all about. It takes the viewer on a voyage between two worlds: art and sea.
If you're not able to travel across the seas and you yearn to, here's a painting for you that speaks of beauty, freedom, and life. Even the frame that the lady is holding is art, serving as a prop blending into the overall craft. Let's go on a voyage and explore the world through painting.
The Beauty of the Galaxies
Have you ever had the pleasure of viewing the stars with a telescope? One of the beauties of nature is the galaxy. There are millions of stars in it, much more than the sands on earth. If you're an enthusiast for that sort of thing, you'll notice the shape and patterns of the stars in the night sky and how beautiful they are.
Here, you'll agree with us that this body painting is as kaleidoscopic as its riveting. John Poppleton utilizes UV body paint to make scenes of space and nature. He then breathes life into them through black light.
Trippy and Multifaceted
These days, there are more artists than the regular ones with paints and brushes. Makeup artists are one of the most creative people of the modern day. You'd take a look at some of their works and wonder how they ever thought to pull off such ideas.
With this picture, you'd think it's Photoshopped or edited through some kind of computer manipulation. But over the years, we've come to see the art of makeup evolve from mere facial enhancements to an art form. These beautifying products have really gone a long way since the Egyptians first invented them.
Winter is Coming
Art, they say, is an expression, and Emma, popularly known as the Movie Mayhem Makeup, has expressed a lot through her works. She's a genius body art painter whose works have been featured on Bored Panda.
Some of her work is as scary as you can imagine, but this painting is one of the exceptions. It's a breathtaking winter home that's perfect for the Christmas spirit. Coincidentally, another body paint artist has the same name as hers, Emma Hack. The Australian visual artist worked with Grammy-winning musician Gotye on the song "Somebody That I Used to Know."
You Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Woman
When "Spider-Man" first came to screens in 2002, it was a hit, and it's still a hit years later. From Tobey Maguire, we've gone on to have other variations of the superhero played by Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. "Spider-Man: No Way Home" even hit the theaters in December 2021.
This lady in the body paint is giving us ideas about a Spider-Woman spinoff. After all, in the comics, Spider-Woman is a variant of Spider-Man. She's also an alternate-universe version of Gwen Stacy, who lives on Earth-65 and was bitten by a genetically-engineered spider.
A Human Guide
Talk of a human guide, literally and figuratively. Here's a map to help you explore the world and guide you in your travels all over the globe. This human map depicts a journey taken regardless of risk, and kudos to the artist for making such a masterpiece.
If you're curious, the first world map is believed to have been invented by Greek academic Anaximander in the 6th century BC. But nowadays, GPS can always help anyone get to where they're headed. After all, as beautiful as this piece is, we can't guarantee that a human map will be allowed by airport security.
Blending with the Background
Meet the South Korean artist who uses her own body as a canvas. The talented artist, Dain Yoon, has been described by many names such as incredible, brilliant, spectacular, among many other compliments over the years. And indeed, her works are show-stopping!
Just look at this real-life genius painting. The last time we saw anyone blend into a background this good was in the movie "Sherlock Holmes." If positioned well, she could trick anyone with this look which will be downright sneaky. This definitely tops the list of the best things body art painters can do.
Eve and the Forbidden Apple
So many artists have depicted this scene in various forms since time immemorial. Many of us know the well-known story of creation that involves the first man and woman as well as the forbidden fruit that brought about civilization.
This body art is a beautiful one that tells the story visually. The model's body gives true meaning to the curves of a woman who persuaded her man with "the fruit." It's a clever one with nice aesthetics and a job well done to the artist and the model whose body served as the canvas.
Bringing the Desert to You
There's a saying that you can't eat your cake and have it. Roughly translated to fit this situation is that you can't be at two places at the same time. However, our artist here, Gesine, has made sure that you see what it looks like to be in two places at once.
This is an incredibly scenic view of a desert brought to you with love and in the direct form of body paint. The detailed and colorful painting coupled with the model's expression makes this work of art all the more outstanding.
When Infinity Calls
In this day and age of insane technological advancement, it's not new that many people are addicted to their devices and much more to social media. With their earphones plugged in, some youths can be on their phones for the whole day, and this painting seems to point towards this issue.
This onion-like painting is also a brilliant example of how much communication has come to mean to us and is worthy of praise. The image is so incredible that you'd have to look with keen eyes to see the model's actual facial features.
Revealing the Grinch
Artists creating an illusion is one of those things that'll never cease to amaze us. If you are a fan of the lead character from "The Grinch," this excellent artwork reveals your fave cynical grump. The artist's attention to detail makes the painting even more spectacular. Just look at that seamless roll of paper!
It's something that we wouldn't mind having on a wall in our home, except it's not possible to hang a human face and neck just like that. Apart from the constant nagging that will come from the painting itself, we're sure it's illegal. Not to mention creepy.
2 Two-faced Women
Here's another beautiful work by Dain Yoon that will surely blow your mind. This artwork of hers seems to give credence to the belief that people are two-faced with different sides to them.
It tells the stories of lies and hypocrisy that comes with friendship and the perceived saints doing exactly what they judge others for. We see two women who are bonding even though both of them are two-faced. This creative work of art is one of several of its kind that the artist does as she obviously enjoys experimenting with the face.
Goddess of Color
A game for the bold and fearless, art can be striking, and body art is even more so, with its interesting visuals and appeals. Take this model, for instance. Even with the vibrant and busy background, she still stands out. All the shades of her body combine beautifully in a rhythmic and enchanting way.
We can imagine her as a goddess in a fantasy movie or something straight out of the "Harry Potter" film series, especially with her wand. However, we're sure that this woman here will make a run for it a snake pops out of the bushes, wand or not.
Mystique Remake
Mystique of "X-Men," one of the fictional characters in Marvel Comics, is not just one exotic alien-looking creature; she's probably the hottest, too. Surprisingly, this work of art slays the look!
Though the Mystique costume has been replicated a thousand times, and we've seen our share of those, this body paint certainly takes the cake with its blending, detailing, and overall structure. Some people are just so talented! Though Mystique was a supervillain who can modify her body anyhow she pleases, this masterpiece makes us like her character so much more.
Dance With The Flamingo
While this is not a convincing enough flamingo, it certainly is an excellent and detailed painting, right down to the incredible texture and transparent image of the feathers on the model's back. Its bright and stunning color also makes for a nice job.
If we were to score this artwork, we'd give the piece of art a five over five while the flamingo itself will take three. There's plenty of animal depiction and human remake of animals online, especially tigers. It's not an easy feat for someone to pose perfectly like a flamingo, but this person did a great job.
The Enchantress
Body art can depict various things, and even though the models are usually in the buff, it's not usually the focus. As a matter of fact, the beautiful painted art is the center of attraction, just like this magnificent image here.
"Suicide Squad" is one of the most anticipated movies in 2016, and though it didn't do well on the Tomatometer, it later went on to numbers in the box office. The villain of said movie, The Enchantress, is what this woman is representing, and it's done to perfection. What's not to love about it?
Too Handsy
If we were to give meaning to this artwork, we'd interpret it as the several hands of predators who live in our society. They're everywhere, from playgrounds to restaurants, hotels, parks, and even in the family. John Vagabundo, like many artists, is using his incredible art to preach a message against immoralities like abuse and assaults.
This art will not only speak to the oppressed, but it also connects with different audiences with different stories, and it says, "Help me." In today's world, people use various tools to communicate their displeasure against evils in the community, and this artist is not left out.
She's The Phoenix
Although this looks like a combination of the Enchantress and Mystique, it's actually another Marvel character called Jean Elaine Grey. She's also popularly known as Dark Phoenix and Marvel Girl. With psychic abilities of both telekinesis and telepathy, she's one powerful character.
Even her appearance depicts the fiery nature of her power. She's appeared in movies like "X-Men," and several actresses have played her character, from Famke Janssen to Sophie Turner. This painting is nothing short of amazing as it looks so real and vibrant, you'd think the Phoenix will come out of the screen any second.
Center of Creation
The painter created a garden on the body of this model, and it contains a dragonfly and a grey crowned crane. The colorful glow on the woman speaks of the rebirth that only a woman, a life-giver, can radiate. If we were to name this painting, we'd call it the "Women: The Pride of Nature."
The grey crowned crane is a majestic animal, but they're considered endangered. As per Tusk, habitat loss paired with the unlawful removal of the fowls and their eggs from the wilderness is the leading cause. Sadly, reports say less than 33,500 of them are left on Earth.
You Might Want to Take a Closer Look
At a glance, you'd think this is a picture of a pelican with a reflection beneath it. That's how spectacular this body paint work is. If you look closely enough, especially at the pointed beak, you will notice a leg and the part painted black to blend with the dark background. Incredible, right?
This is one of the genius body art we've ever come across, and the artist is quite brilliant. He used the colors to masterfully cover the model, making him and the background one, which in turn made the bird stand out.
Two Gorgeous Super Fans
It's no news that fan support is an integral part of sports. From football to basketball and hockey to baseball, fans make up a massive part of the sporting community. And, of course, every fan can show support in different ways.
Some go as far as to tattoo the logo or names of their favorites on their body. Meanwhile, others name their kids after their beloved players. These ladies here chose body paint as their means of expressing their support, and it's so well-done that they can blend in, avoiding security alerts.
As Cool As A Tiger
One of the most common animal body art designs is the tiger stripes. It makes for a beautiful design if done by a talented painter. The patterns and colors can be pretty mesmerizing when accentuated with painting techniques. The model's stance and fierceness also make for a perfect canvas, and the face makes the whole look more tiger-like.
Though they are dangerous and can't be used as house pets, the beauty of tigers has endeared people to them. This is the more reason why it's intriguing to see tiger body paint on humans.
In the Music
Looking for a word to call this painting? Stunning is the word you're looking for. They say music lives in everyone, and that saying has been brought to life by this exotic work of art. Not only is the painting talking about music, but it's also nostalgic in the sense that it brings back memories of vinyl albums recorded by legendary artists.
In today's world, even the VHS and DVDs are out of date, with streaming platforms like YouTube and Spotify taking their place. Many music fans from the '60s will absolutely appreciate what this art represents.
Couch Art
Did you know that you can fade into your couch if you sit there for an extended period? No, we're just kidding. But really, there are so many consequences to being a couch potato, some of which are detrimental to the wellbeing, such as weight gain, increased risk of heart attack, and obesity.
The artist may not have interpreted her work this way, but this is exactly what it looks like to us, and we're sure many will agree. She's done an excellent job of painting the design of the couch on her body, making it seem like she's part of the couch. Such attention to detail!
Magic Girl
Dark Magician Girl is a well-known anime character famous as Black Magician Girl in Japan. She is one of Yugi's primary cards and is often used in many of his duels. If you're familiar with the anime Yu-Gi-Oh!, you'd know her as a powerful character with powerful spells.
Looking at this colorful art, you'd be caught unaware because not only does she look harmless, she also looks like a sweet fairy princess. If this were to be a human, she'd have fans of her own because she looks the part quite alright.
Perfect Superhero
Over the years, we've had plenty of characters from Marvel, DC, games, anime, and so on, and many fans have their personal choice. Most fans love to dress up as their favorites and, therefore, make costumes like a replica.
However, some prefer a more personal approach: wearing the costumes as paint. This is especially effective when you have the body for it, and the woman in this picture rocks the body art to perfection. The only thing left for her is to get the superpowers, and then we'll have another superhero on our hands.
Hide in Plain Sight
If being a wallflower was a painting, this would most likely be it. Some people find that they want to hide whenever they're in a crowd. They are the types that hate conversation and don't like excess attention. They just want to be without getting noticed, and they wouldn't mind fading in the background. Here is a perfect solution for such people.
So many of Emma Hack's works has to do with taking in the shades and pattern of the background and simply becoming part of it. You can hide in plain sight just by doing this literally.
Butterfly Missus
Butterflies are one of nature's most beautiful animals, and it is said that there are about 17,500 species of butterflies in the world, and about 750 of them are in the United States. When butterflies meet art, the result is the enchanting look in this photo. Even the model will feel happy to be a part of such beautiful work.
We can see this as a brand photo for products related to flight. It'll make for a colorful and natural theme that attracts potential clients and customers. It's not just beautiful body art; it's clean and detailed too.
Show Your Emotions
This is another one of Dain Yoon's creations. In a way, we, as humans, express different emotions in different circumstances. We can even go through ranges of emotions within a minute, from uncertainty to anger to sadness to hopefulness and then happiness.
Like this painter depicts, life is meant to be lived in every form of it, despite whatever we feel. Humans have diverse sides and personalities and tend to hide them. However, this face art is showing all sides of this beauty's personality right there on her face, and it's incredible.
Catwoman Under The Moon
Many people have long related cats to women, but more so after the release of "Catwoman" by DC Comics. The character, also known as the cat-burglar Selina Kyle, was initially played by Michelle Pfeiffer but has also been portrayed by Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway.
The body art in this picture shows how the paint gently molds to the model's curves like an actual fabric costume. It has resulted in an impeccable work of art that's the Cat Woman persona. The only thing that differentiates this from the original one is the absence of her famous whip.
Beauty of a Koi Pond
To be an artist, you have to have a very active imagination, see things that are not usually seen by others, and express what it means for you. Who would have thought a human canvas could be used to paint a perfect image of a Koi pond.
From the milky skin of the model to the fishes in the pond and the one held up, it's a clear illustration of the benefits of Koi ponds and the look they give even when used as a decorative backdrop. The mind-blowing part of this artwork is the simplicity in its magnificence.
Another Koi Painting
If we were to imagine a Koi pond painting, this would be it—lush and colorful. The fish and its backdrop blend seamlessly with the model's figure, giving an impression of a life-like creature. The painter has masterfully explored every color, dept, plane, hue, and angle to offer this fantastic result that leaves us blown away.
Incredibly intimate and vibrant, the painting speaks of stories untold, and with each stroke of the painter's brush on her body, magic is created. And while the artist did his work flawlessly, the canvas used played her own part excellently.
Shining Through The Darkness
German artist, Gesine Marwedel, is one of the very best around. Many of her spectacular works can be seen all over the internet, and this dazzling beauty right here is one of them. This neon-lit body is something straight out of a dream. In a dark and empty void, it shines through.
It's a masterpiece that serves as a reminder that even in the bleakest and thickest of darkness, you should be the light that shines through and that you should not be afraid to stand out. This luminous body art is something that we'd love to take home, but then, it's a human painting.
It’s Harley Quinn
Harley Quinn, another "Suicide Squad" character, is usually seen as the female version of The Joker, but really, she's not. The Joker is as terrifying as he's charismatic. He's, in fact, a devil incarnate, and his girlfriend here is anything but. Although she has her ways, she can't measure up.
This image portrays her in her element and wearing a costume that fully shows her fearless temperament and love for the extreme. This artwork also does a great job at showing how bold and charismatic Harley Quinn is with that innocent-looking smile paired with her famous baseball bat.
An Eye That Sees
Dain Yoon is certainly not one to shy away from intricate work. This may look small, but it's just as magnificent as her full-body and full-face arts. It's even more so because of the tiny space she had to work with, which she did to perfection.
Also, it fits in so well that you might miss it at first glance, but when you see it, you won't be able to take your eyes off it. It's that breathtaking. The little eye is well placed, and it looks just like her real eyes, which goes to show how thorough she was.
Two in One
Special effects artists can work with any and everything. They add the extra to the ordinary. Here, Emma has recreated Sally from "The Nightmare Before Christmas," and she's refined it to perfection. Though Sally doesn't have a lot of fans because she gives people the creeps, still, you'd want to look like her just from seeing this.
The fact that the painter didn't attempt to change the natural figure of the model into that of the fantasy character makes this artwork even more unique. It means we get to have two personalities in one person.
A Landscape That Speaks
It appears that nature paintings are a big favorite among the art community, especially if it's excellently done. Paintings of nature and landscapes are beloved among art lovers and decorators because of their intrinsic beauty.
If landscape paintings on regular canvas are breathtaking, the ones on human models are even more so. After all, it takes a lot of work and talent to paint something so detailed on humans. As much as landscape paintings are everywhere, these unique types are not to be looked down on. Instead, the artist deserves their accolades.
Simple and Thorough
Masterpieces don't have to be complex and extensive. As the saying goes, less is more, and there's elegance in simplicity. This picture is a perfect example of this statement. Many masterpieces were created not because the painter planned it; it just happened, and voila!
While some artists plan when they want to work, others just allow their imagination to do the work and let their hands roam across the canvas. We don't know which category this artwork belongs to, but what we do know is that it's a magnificent piece that's worthy of praise.
Female Avengers
If you can think it, you can be it. That's what they say, and these ladies have brought that to reality. Who wouldn't want a beautiful superhero saving them? It may seem like this painter has a wild imagination, but really, we're sure he's not the only one that has thought of it.
The female version of our favorite Marvel and D.C. superheroes, why not? Everybody wants to be a hero in one way or another, and these women have decided to be one, even if it's only in costume. Not only do they look ready to save someone, but the beautifully crafted body paint is also so fitting.
