The professional boxer Floyd Mayweather has dubbed his private security team The Money Team, mostly because they're in charge of protecting the large sums of cash Mayweather carries with him all the time! He's made a habit out of having $60K–$1 million with him anytime he goes out. Ever heard of a credit card, Floyd?

Maybe this is simply Mayweather's way of keeping his private security team focused on their job. The biggest guy in the posse is the seven-foot-tall Alfonso Redick, nicknamed "Bug Church." The Money Team even has its own merchandise and customized logo!

A star as beloved as Beyoncé deserves to have a very special bodyguard, and she's lucky enough to count on the services of Julius de Boer. Born in Amsterdam, de Boer is said to speak five different languages and to have started his first Executive Protection company at the age of 24.

He was hired by Beyoncé and Jay-Z in 2008 and hasn't stopped working with Queen B ever since. If you want to mess with Harry Potter, you will have to pass his huge bodyguards first. One of them even broke some hearts online, ahead of a Radcliffe Jimmy Kimmel Live! appearance. The anonymous bodyguard was snapped walking alongside Radcliffe, and online commentators immediately praised him for his good looks.

In 2011, ABC News shared an interview with Fernando Flores, one of Britney's former security guys. He accused the "Toxic" singer of harassing him, picking her nose constantly, and passing gas. Given what she's been through, it's relatively understandable that she took some liberties with her security team.

You can star in the biggest movie; release the world's greatest song; create the best TV series ever... And you'll still not have the money or influence to be as well-protected as the one-and-only Queen Elizabeth II. After all, Britain's number-one monarch relies on her own army of private protectors, known as the Queen's Guard.

The Queen's Guard is a full-functioning army comprised of men trained to serve in actual wars. The contingent of infantry and cavalry soldiers has been tasked with protecting the royal family's official residences since before 1660, and their black-and-red uniforms can easily identify them.

Cher

Cher is a huge music icon with a fair share of all-too-crazy admirers. When she visited Nashville, she was harassed by a man named Calvin Houghland, who had to be arrested by the police. For that reason, it's only natural she rarely leaves the house without the company of a proper bodyguard.

And to be fair, Cher has one of the best: Michael Francis, a very experienced security guy who's worked for Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, and Bon Jovi, to name a few. Francis is such a well-known bodyguard he even wrote a book on the subject, titled Starman: The Right Hand Man of Rock 'n' Roll.

Can you name a hotter celebrity couple than Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds? Even though pretty much everybody loves these two, they make sure to be accompanied by security at all times, especially when they're with their children.

Lively and Reynolds are known for their outstanding acting talent and playful social media interactions. But while it's hard to imagine anyone would want to harm these two, you can never be too safe! After all, the celebrity couple was forced to publically apologize in 2020 after unknowingly holding their wedding at a former plantation that had benefited from slave labor.

Kate Middleton

It's not surprising to find Kate Middleton on this list: as the wife of Prince William, she's second in the line of succession to the British throne! But Middleton's very special bodyguard has been raising some eyebrows. Why? Well, she's a strong woman working in a male-dominated industry.

Her name is Emma Probert, and she keeps showing that women are as good as men when it comes to watching someone's back. Maybe due to tradition, ladies are still a rarity in the security industry: in 2020, only 25% of the security guards working in the United States were women.

 

Selena Gomez

Celebrity bodyguards are more than just employees. They spend so much time with Hollywood's greatest stars that they end up developing a special bond with the people they're supposed to protect. Take the singer/actress Selena Gomez, for instance: she has such a good relationship with her bodyguard she even attended his wedding in 2019!

Gomez decided to honor one of her bodyguards with a visit to his Redlands, California wedding, and she even graced the room with a sweet toast. She took lots of pictures with fans at the ceremony, in one of the most relatable and down-to-earth Selena Gomez moments we've ever seen.

Madonna

Madonna has been a music industry giant for decades now, but with great fame comes great responsibility... The Queen of Pop makes sure always to have a bodyguard by her side, and her safety concerns are more than justified. In the mid-'90s, she was targeted by a homeless man called Robert Hoskins, who attempted to get inside her house to "kill you and everyone in the house."

Luckily, Madonna's bodyguard Basil Stephens was there to intervene. He shot the intruder twice, and the case ended up in a court of law. Hoskins was able to survive the shots but never bothered Madonna ever again.

Angelina Jolie

Before divorcing Brad Pitt in 2016, the gorgeous American actress Angelina Jolie hired a former SAS soldier called Mark Billingham. Billingham worked with the celebrity couple for six months and shared some details about the experience.

Billingham said Jolie and Pitt were mostly concerned about the safety of their six children. He also mentioned that he felt deeply respected by the celebrity couple. Additionally, he was stunned by how good Jolie and Pitt were at managing their time, finding a way of combining professional and family life, and still attend charity events.
